Delete your account

You can delete your Rugga account and the data held against it at any time. You do not need to contact us first, and you do not need a reason.

In the app

This is the quickest route and takes effect immediately.

• Open Rugga and go to the Profile tab
• Tap Help & support
• Tap Delete my account and confirm

By email

If you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in, email hello@rugga.app from the address you registered with and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm once it is done.

Deleting some of your data without closing your account

You do not have to delete everything. Inside the Rugga app you can remove individual items at any time, and your account carries on as normal:

• Posts and comments: tap the ⋯ menu on your own post or comment in the squad feed and choose delete. Any photo or video attached to it is removed from our storage at the same time.
• Logged meals: swipe or tap a meal in the Nutrition tab and delete it.
• Profile details: bodyweight, injuries, goals and training days can be changed or cleared in Profile → Training & Preferences.
• Photos: your profile picture and club badge can be replaced or removed in the app.

For anything else — for example your training history, or a specific set of records — email hello@rugga.app from your registered address, telling us what you would like removed. We will confirm once it is done, normally within a few days and always within 30 days.

What gets deleted when you delete your account

• Your account and login
• Your profile: name, email, playing position, goals, bodyweight, injuries, training schedule
• Your training history: workouts, sets, personal bests, programme progress
• Your nutrition logs and targets
• Your club membership, posts, comments, likes and photos
• Your push notification token and notification preferences

What we keep

• Anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you — for example the total number of workouts logged across all users.
• Records we are required to keep by law, such as transaction records for tax purposes. These contain no training, nutrition or health data.

Timing

• Your account is deactivated immediately — you are signed out and no longer appear to your club
• The underlying data is permanently erased within 30 days
• Anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play, because those are managed by Apple and Google rather than by us. Cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, otherwise it will keep renewing.
